Special Quality Coffee Finca "La Joya"

History

Finca “La Joya” works since 1985, the agricultural works began planting the first coffee plants and commercializing their production in the internal market of the country of Guatemala. From 2015 it was decided to transform all 100% sowing of the farm to special coffee production, with high quality seeds and using special processes that started from the intensive care of the seedlings to the stage of dry processing, in order to have high quality coffees for the international market.

These works were achieved with the collaboration of the inhabitants of the Choval village, Cobán Alta Verapaz, since this community is located in the vicinity of the farm. The topography of the farm is characterized by being between hills and hollows where much organic material is deposited and in winter time small water deposits are formed which gives it a special quality to develop the sowing and cultivation of special coffees.
